昨天下午五时，诺贝尔奖委员会的网上直播中传出奥巴马当选诺贝尔和平奖得主的消息，一下子炸开了锅，现场的记者们蜂拥追问，尽管言辞不一，但都指奥巴马有何德何能，在上任才8个多月的时间里（283天），没有任何实际贡献，就凭几句承诺就荣膺此奖。

委员会的人回答更让人爆笑，说奥巴马总统致力于解决国际冲突、扩大全球合作、加强全球对话，消除核武器，他致力于国际合作政策。

今天一早醒来，按惯例邮箱里又是收到奥巴马团队的邮件，看到开头是亲密的“Eliot”，我还以为又是往常的要求捐赠的。仔细一看，还是颇为奥巴马折服，他说自己和米歇尔大早醒来，意外的听到了这个消息。奥巴马聪明的说，自己不配跟那些为追求世界和平、激励世界和自己的众多伟人一起忝列此奖『I do not feel that I deserve to be in the company of so many of the transformative figures who’ve been honored by this prize — men and women who’ve inspired me and inspired the entire world through their courageous pursuit of peace』。

奥巴马完美的抓住了和平奖委员会的意图，并深表感谢。他恰如其分的表达说，『我深知在诺贝尔和平奖历史上，它不仅用来表彰那些具体的成就，它同样被用于给一系列事业提供动力』（I also know that throughout history the Nobel Peace Prize has not just been used to honor specific achievement; it’s also been used as a means to give momentum to a set of causes）。

他说这是一个『行动的呼喊』（A call to action），这个奖不仅属于他的政府，还有全球那些为正义与和平奋斗的人们，特别是『那些敢于希望和努力让世界变得更好的美国人』（this award  does not belong simply to me or my administration; it belongs to all people around the world who have fought for justice and for peace. And most of all, it belongs to you, the men and women of America, who have dared to hope and have worked so hard to make our world a little better).

美国政客就是聪明，他自始自终都不忘了感谢他的选民。

从诺贝尔的委员会来看，FT报道说，有时候他们也用此奖来『鼓励负责任的行动』（awards the prize to encourage responsible action）。这个奖项从来不是简单的一个和平字样，从来都是政治的角力，只是这一次它还被批上了娱乐的外衣。
